The AIFC Court and IAC Training Centre (“The Training Centre”), in cooperation with KPMG CCA, is delighted to invite participants to attend a training session: “Lawyers and Accountants: Joint Efforts in Preventing and Resolving Disputes”.

This training is free of charge and is focused for practicing lawyers.

  • Overview of accounting principles and applicable standards, financial statements, and other financial metrics, which appear in commercial and investment disputes.
  • Contentious valuations: commonly used methodology and areas of major controversy.
  • Financial aspects of M&A deals and key causes leading up to post-deal disputes between buyers and sellers.
  • Involvement of financial experts and most common areas of contention: forensic accounting, accounting and financial reporting aspects, assessment of damages etc. Illustrative case studies.

After the training, in-person participants will be invited to attend an informal reception at the AIFC Court and IAC premises in Astana.
