A delegation from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Court, led by Mr. Alexey Dronov, the Chairman of the EAEU Court, visited the AIFC Court and IAC earlier this year as part of continued cooperation between the AIFC Court and IAC and the EAEU Court. Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt OBE, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC, presented about the AIFC Court and IAC and their contribution to attracting investment to Kazakhstan and the wider Eurasia region.

The EAEU Court, headquartered in Minsk, Belarus, strives to enhance uniform application of law across the EAEU and the resolution of disputes at EAEU level. During the visit, the representatives of the EAEU Court and the AIFC Court and IAC explored opportunities for cooperation in the promotion of the rule of law.

The AIFC Court and IAC are independent of the national courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Eurasia region, but cooperate closely on matters of mutual interest, including on the enforcement of AIFC Court and IAC judgments in foreign countries, and the continual improvement of the administration of justice and the rule of law in Eurasia. The AIFC Court and IAC have become recognised ‘Centres of Excellence’ in Eurasia for promotion of the rule of law, applying and promoting the highest international standards of independence, impartiality, and justice that is focused on quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
