The AIFC Court and IAC presented in London as part of the London International Disputes Week 2025 (LIDW25) earlier this year.

LIDW is a key global forum for international dispute resolution. This year’s event, ‘Innovation in Dispute Resolution: Navigating Global Risks’, included panel discussions with The Rt. Hon. The Lord Burnett of Maldon, the AIFC Court Chief Justice, and Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt OBE, Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC.

The discussions included a review of the latest high-profile disputes with parties from Kazakhstan and the wider Eurasia region, current dispute resolution practices, key challenges, and areas for improvement of arbitration practices in the Eurasia region. The AIFC Court and IAC were recognised as the leaders in Eurasia for providing independent and impartial dispute resolution.

The AIFC Court and IAC are the preferred choice by investors for international commercial court dispute resolution and, as ‘Centres of Excellence’, continue to lead the way on dispute resolution innovation and technology and quality of dispute resolution services for investors coming to Kazakhstan.

Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt OBE, Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC, presented at Paris Arbitration Week 2025 (PAW 2025) earlier this year.

PAW 2025, supported by the French Ministry of Justice and leading national and international institutions, is a key global platform for advancing dialogue and innovation in international dispute resolution. The AIFC Court and IAC announced new cooperation with Jus Mundi, a leading AI-powered legal search platform. IAC non-confidential arbitration awards and AIFC Court arbitration-related judgments will be made publicly accessible, enhancing transparency and accessibility.

Mr. Campbell-Holt OBE commented:

AIFC Court & IAC Host EAEU Court Delegation to Strengthen Regional Legal Collaboration

A delegation from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Court, led by Mr. Alexey Dronov, the Chairman of the EAEU Court, visited the AIFC Court and IAC earlier this year as part of continued cooperation between the AIFC Court and IAC and the EAEU Court. Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt OBE, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC, presented about the AIFC Court and IAC and their contribution to attracting investment to Kazakhstan and the wider Eurasia region.

The EAEU Court, headquartered in Minsk, Belarus, strives to enhance uniform application of law across the EAEU and the resolution of disputes at EAEU level. During the visit, the representatives of the EAEU Court and the AIFC Court and IAC explored opportunities for cooperation in the promotion of the rule of law.

The AIFC Court and IAC are independent of the national courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Eurasia region, but cooperate closely on matters of mutual interest, including on the enforcement of AIFC Court and IAC judgments in foreign countries, and the continual improvement of the administration of justice and the rule of law in Eurasia. The AIFC Court and IAC have become recognised ‘Centres of Excellence’ in Eurasia for promotion of the rule of law, applying and promoting the highest international standards of independence, impartiality, and justice that is focused on quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
