The International Arbitration Centre of the Astana International Financial Centre (hereinafter “IAC”) holds for the first time the IAC Mock Arbitration Moot. This online event will take place on 16-17 November 2020. We have an honor to invite you to participate in the IAC Mock Arbitration Moot. The winners will be awarded an opportunity to experience an unpaid internship at the AIFC Court and IAC.

IAC Mock Arbitration Moot is an internationally renowned law student mock arbitration hearing competition. It aims to promote the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes through its application of a “real-life” practical legal problem and to develop future lawyers in arbitration practice.

The IAC provides an independent, economical and expeditious alternative to court litigation, operating to the highest international standards to resolve civil and commercial disputes in the AIFC. The IAC has its own panel of outstanding international arbitrators and mediators who are greatly experienced, independent, impartial and of the highest integrity.

The arbitrators will include the IAC Chairman – Ms. Barbara Dohmann QC and the Registrar and Chief Executive of the IAC – Christopher Campbell-Holt. Chairman of the IAC, Ms. Barbara Dohmann QC has been one of the UK’s leading commercial barristers and an international arbitrator for many years.
