AI and Its Impact on the Future of the Legal Profession and Legal Education

The Training Centre is delighted to invite participants to join an online training session on “AI and Its Impact on the Future of the Legal Profession and Legal Education”, delivered by Dr. Roman Khodykin, on 22 April 2026, at 15:00 Astana time.

Dr. Khodykin is a solicitor-advocate of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and a partner in the Dubai office of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. He is a visiting professor at the Centre for Commercial Law at Queen Mary University of London and holds a PhD in Conflict of Laws. Dr. Khodykin is on the roster of arbitrators at the IAC (Kazakhstan) and the ICAC (Russia). He has rights of audience in the Senior Courts of England and Wales, the AIFC Court and the DIFC Court. From 2015 to 2018, he was an alternate member of the ICC Court of International Arbitration in Paris.

The training is designed for practising lawyers, judges, law professors, academics and law students. The training will cover the following topics:

  • the success story of English law and English/American law firms;
  • teaching law in common law and civil law countries;
  • trends in the legal profession in recent years;
  • AI and its impact on the future of the legal profession, legal education and dispute resolution;
  • areas for legal research in the years to come.
